My Take On Gothic Design Style:
Beside the characteristic of gothic architecture, gothic style Interpretation from other region enriched the meaning of it and consequently formulate a horrifying yet mysterious metaphor. I believe it is the literary and artistic creation that gives spirit and story to "gothic". From my personal perspective, gothic style always reminds me of the darkest hour before dawn, after which comes rebirth and hope.
Inspiration:
This design is based on The Fall of the House of Usher. In my view, it is more than a pathetic family story, but metaphor of how people fight their fate regardless of the ultimate devastation. In the story this kind of "struggle" is reflected by Madeline Usher, who rise from the basement and Perish together with her brother and the house.
