Towards the Metamorphosis of the Landfill: Turning Garbage Dumps into Proactive Parks
Located at the delta of the polluted city river, Tripoli’s Landfill is composed of a 60,000 m2 garbage landfill with a volume of 3,000,000 m3, a centralized sewage treatment plant, a wholesale vegetable market, and a municipal slaughterhouse. Today, Tripoli is forced not only to find a solution for the produced pollution and serious health damaging environment affecting the whole city, but to respond to pressures of population and urban growth by “unlocking” the surrounding remaining 5% of the city undeveloped vacant area and regaining a vital access of the public to an important natural asset of the waterfront.

Adaptive Socio-Cultural EpiCentre
The project is a new representation of libraries in the MENA region that, offered to all people without the need to use transportation. It started from a problem that people cannot go by walking to libraries, meaning they are far from their homes, therefore, the solution began with the site selection that was based mainly on the distance which the average person can walk without taking a rest which is between 15-20 minutes walking to reach the site. The project is based on its sustainable core representing a flexible and enjoyable journey to make the project active 24 hours.

Apparatus of Amusement
the project tries to reframes the role of human in the social and ecological sphere as a shift in the current paradigm for decentralizing ways to manage our objects in our ‘buy and discard’ society.

Paiwand: Architecture as a technique of “damage eviction” with basic concept of “grafting”
Theme revolves around reclaiming a rehabilitation center, in line with the basic concept of PAIWAND; inserting (a shoot or twig) as a graft, as highlighted in the title.
1 out of 13 people in the country are affected by this menace and contrarily, the number of quality rehabilitation programs aren’t compatible!
Project aims at re-visualization of an existing facility by grafting their concept of therapeutic community with therapeutic programs and mindful spaces; thus, “Therapeutic Architecture”. The negative areas of the existing center will be studied to find missing links between the user (an addict), therapy programs and nature of spaces providing recovery; restoration of user’s mental/physical health.
Project revolves around man attaining a physical/emotional balance through the three stages of a rehabilitation program.

La Megalópolis de Nadie. A research and a proposal for the occupation of Public Space in Mexico City
The subject of the thesis is the informal occupation of public space in Mexico City. Initially, the most relevant forms of appropriation encountered in the city were analyzed. Subsequently, a public space was designed that would take into account the spatial logics analyzed and the needs of the various actors.
The approach was to try to integrate the great possibilities of informality into the development process of a megalopolis and not just to see it as a problem to be solved.
The project tries to use natural or recyclable materials as much as possible, aiming to have a "zero waste impact".

Reiterating the Vertical Urban Factory
The decentralization of the industrial city, brought about by the humanitarian and sociological crisis in urban centers at the end of the 18th century, solidified the hegemonic roles that industry and infrastructure currently play in urban expansion, albeit incompatibly with urban life. This “removal of process” from cities compelled us to design industry away from cities instead of adapting industry to them.
But, what happens when one of these industries is far too indispensable to be displaced?
“Reiterating The Vertical Urban Factory” attempts to adapt an irreplaceable industrial building to its everchanging waterfront context whilst maintaining its industrial process.
