DesignTo is an art and design festival which has received over half a million victors and welcomes 90,000 tourist over the last nine years, The festival has transformed the city of Toronto into a hub for creativity. DesignTO brings people together to celebrate Contemporary culture. The festival provides opportunities for  new emerging talent.

DesignTO is celebrating its 10th year of creativity, community and experimentation.  DesignTO is getting different communities together by taking art and design from studio space out into the urban realm. Featuring work of hundreds of designers from varied fields each year. 

The festival showcases work of designers from different fields like mentioned below.
Locally made furniture
Lighting, products
Graphic and experiential design
interiors and architecture
Accessories
Ceramics and more. 


As a non-profit arts organization, the festival emphasizes collaboration and the expression of personal values and identities through the creative process.

This 10th year presents over 100 events, installation and exhibition across the city of Toronto. DesignTO also brings back some amazing events including the half-day symposium on a future without work with a keynote by Carol Anne Hilton, CEO and Founder of The Indigenomics Institute; a multidisciplinary thematic exhibition ‘Future Retrospectives’ exploring how the past influences the future; a prototype exhibition ‘Work/Life’; several student exhibitions at OCAD University; site-specific installations; and open studios.

New programme includes:
DesignTO Tours of a 235,000 square feet custom fabrication workshop
A trip to Canada’s first suburb to talk about intensification through retail
DesignTO Talks with Toronto studios Anony and Castor, Mexico-based studio Anagrama interviewed by Monocle, and Berlin-based design and architecture collective They Feed Off Buildings who create terrazzo using debris from demolished buildings.
The Globe and Mail and EQ3 celebrate Designing Canada: a new annual recognition of the best in Canadian design, author Randi Bergman talks to local makers featured in the recently released ‘Toronto Makes’ book,
Toronto Society of Architects discuss the climate crisis at an Urban Affairs Forum.
DesignTO also launches its first youth-focused program, with animations created by Oasis Skateboard Factory students.
