The Open International Architecture and Urban Planning Competition for the development of a master-plan for the territory adjacent to the Almetyevsk Reservoir on the Stepnoy Zay river in the city of Almetyevsk, Republic of Tatarstan - Registration Closed.
There are 115 companies from 16 different nations participating in the competition for the development of a master plan for the Stepnoy Zay river valley. The registration for participation closed on 21st January 2020.
243 companies from 48 countries, were registered. The companies that registered for the competition are Russia, Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Mozambique, Nepal, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, PRC, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Saint Lucia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, the USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
Participants had to provide a relevant portfolio and essay to participate in the first qualifying stage. 44 participants submitted their applications, elaborated according to the conditions, to the Organizing Committee of the competition. They include 115 companies: 9 individually, 106 - as part of 35 multinational consortia.
Companies from 37 different cities from 16 nations participated. Among the participants 73 companies are Russian, almost half of the participants are foreign nations. List of the foreign nations participating with the number of companies is as below:

Three finalist for the second stage who will remain and offer their vision of the master-plan for the Stepnoy Zay River Valley will be selected on 30th January 2020, under the chairmanship of Nail Maganov, the General Director of Tatneft.
